Darren joined Omega Surveying Services in 2023.
Since graduating from DKIT in 2006, Darren has gained vast experience and technical knowledge while working in the construction industry in Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.
Darren commenced his professional career in Ireland as a Building Surveyor while working at Dennis Williams Consulting Engineers in Dundalk, Co. Louth. His role involved conducting building inspections and advised on property legislation, building regulations and building control.
In 2012, Darren emigrated to New Zealand and took up a position as a Building Surveyor with Hampton Jones Property Consultants in Auckland. Darren’s role focused on the New Zealand ‘Leaky Building Crisis’ where his duties included undertaking detailed weathertightness investigations and defect analysis of buildings, primarily for the Ministry of Education.
In 2014, Darren relocated to Sydney, Australia and commenced employment at Diagnostech Remedial Engineers as a Senior Building Consultant. His role involved providing consultancy services primarily for the remedial building sector with an emphasis on building defect remediation, concrete repair and rehabilitation, waterproofing, façade refurbishment, structural repairs, and project management.
Darren returned to Ireland in 2023 and commenced employment at Omega Surveying Services.
