Services for Commercial Clients

Project Monitoring

The Project Monitor service is provided to a third party stakeholder in a construction project who does not have a direct contractual link with the design team or contractor

The Client could be a lending institution, an investor who agrees to purchase the completed building, a prospective tenant who will occupy on completion. The main factor in a client instructing a project monitor is the existence of a financial interest and the absence of direct control.

The Client has a vested interest in ensuring that the works are constructed to the required standard, within budget, on time and in compliance with statutory requirements. The Project monitor’s role is to carry out an independent evaluation of the project from inception, including where necessary, the preparation of a client requirements document. Works are reviewed on site throughout the construction phase and post-completion to ensure the project team have adhered to the agreed criteria.

Omega Surveying Services have experience of performing this role on a range of large and small-scale developments.
