Relevant Experience:
Kevin set up Omega Surveying Services in 2013 and currently acts as the managing director. Since the formation of the company Kevin has managed the remediation of a number of high profile projects for NAMA through receivers. Kevin also monitors other consultants on behalf of NAMA. Kevin manages the team of surveyors to attend to the company’s management company, receiver and commercial clients. Kevin has provided professional services for commercial clients such as dilapidations, pre purchase surveys and compliance checks to a variety of property types.
Between 2008 and 2013 Kevin was an Associate Director with McGovern Surveyors as a Chartered Building Surveyor. Here, Kevin undertook a wide variety of commercial and industrial work Kevin was formerly as a Building Surveyor with Cassidy & Ashton in the UK, where he worked on both commercial and residential. While in the UK Kevin also managed Halton Borough Council’s (UK Local Authority) housing stock. This involved coordinating all annual surveys and a maintenance budget of £5M.
Kevin is current Chair of the Communication Standing Committee of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland was also the Chair of the Building Surveying Practice Group through 2012 & 2013. He also acts as an assessor for the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) for surveyors to become Chartered. Kevin is seen as an authority on construction and fire related issues and has spoken in various media situations on issues of concern such as:
